About Me

Hi! I’m Dr. Reena Gopinathan and have been practicing outpatient physical therapy for 18 years.

My unique combination as a physical therapist, yoga teacher, and Reiki master allows for a holistic understanding of the body-mind connection. I felt compelled to open The Wellness Room to have the freedom to integrate all of these aspects into a more comprehensive healing experience that can be catered to you and your personal goals.

I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Temple University in 2005.  I am an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT). I am a CranioFacial Therapy Academy (CRAFTA) practitioner, which is a therapy system for head, face and jaw dysfunction and pain. I received my Yoga Teacher Training (YTT-200) certification from Goa, India in 2016. I am also a Reiki (Master level) and CranioSacral Therapy practitioner.

What Patients Say

I worked with several PTs in the past for my knee pain, but so far, none was as good as Reena. One thing I loved was that her treatment plan was the most sustainable one. And I saw an improvement only after few sessions, which was a relief for me. I believe the dry needling contributed a lot to this. Another thing I love about working with Reena is her holistic approach to wellness. She explained so beautifully how things are interconnected, how we all should approach healing to be healthy on a long term.
